Reflective Insulation

Reflex-AIR® reflective insulations act as a radiant barrier, thermal insulation, and vapor barrier, effectively blocking water vapor transmission, minimizing moisture condensation, while meeting required assembly R-Values.

Reflex-AIR® insulations are manufactured using independently encapsulated air bubbles, ensuring longevity, strength, and resistance to punctures throughout the product's lifespan.

Benefits

Here are the key benefits of using Reflex-AIR® reflective insulations:

Energy Efficiency: Reflex-AIR® products reflect (block) up to 95% of radiant heat, reducing heat gain and loss throughout the year. They remain unaffected by moisture or humidity and help minimize condensation.

Durability: Unlike basic bubble wrap materials, Reflex-AIR® insulations are designed to be sturdy and resistant to punctures and tears. They are also coated to prevent oxidation and UV degradation, ensuring long-term performance.

Easy Installation: Despite their industrial strength, these insulations are lightweight and easy to install. You can cut them with scissors and attach them using a staple gun or tek screws. No special protective clothing or respirators are required during the installation process. Once installed, they require no maintenance.

Safety: Reflex-AIR® insulations are non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, and free of fibers. They do not support the growth of mold or mildew and do not provide a favorable environment for fungus, insects, or rodents. Additionally, they block the transfer of methane, radon, and other gases. Furthermore, these insulations have a Class A / Class 1 fire rating, which is the highest and safest rating for building products.

Common Uses

Reflex-AIR® bubble insulation products are very effective when used in:

  • Walls and roofs in Metal, Steel and Commercial Buildings, Pole Barns, Post Frame, Agricultural and Poultry Barns
  • Concrete slabs and under flooring with or without radiant heating/pex tubing,
  • Crawl Spaces, Basement / Concrete Block Walls and Ceilings, Wine Cellars, Garage Doors, and Storm / Storage Shelters,
  • To wrap a Hot Water Heater or Water Storage Tank or to adhere behind a Metal Stove or Hot Water Radiator
  • In Ground and Above Ground Swimming Pool, Hot Tub Covers and Wraps
  • RVs, Carports, Sheds, Storage Units, Tents, Yurts, Quonset Huts, Hunting Cabins and Camping Shelters
  • other applications where heat and moisture transfer needs to be controlled.
